Vitor Zafer is a composer, sound designer and music producer for films, TV series, video games, musicals and theater.
Born in 1989 in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, and raised in an entire family of musicians. At age 9, he sang the cantata Carmina Burana with the Ribeirão Preto Symphony Orchestra at the Winter Festival of Campos do Jordão. Vitor studied piano at Contraponto conservatory (2006), guitar at Universidade Livre de Música (2008), professional audio at Colégio de Aprendizagem Moderna. (2011) and graduated with a BM in music education and violin at University of São Paulo (2013). Currently, he is a graduate student in orchestral conducting at University of Santa Catarina.
Vitor has performed alongside great artists such as Johny Alf (2004) and Steve Vai (Masterclass 2016). Has an extensive experience as orchestral conductor, having conducted orchestras, big bands and choirs at several international music festivals in Germany, Italy, Finland, Estonia and Brazil. He has also been at the forefront of major shows such as the world premiere of the Sonic Symphony Official Tour. Worked as guest professor at University of Turku and Rauma Musikiiopisto (Finland) , Scuola Comunale di Musica G. Sarti (Italy) and Oficinas Culturais at University of São Paulo (Brazil).
His works for cinema includes the feature films: Eu Fico Loko (2017), Tito e os Pássaros (2019) which was featured in over 60 film festivals such as Cannes, Annecy, Chicago, Havana and Annie, and was also pre-selected for the best animated feature film on Oscar 2019; Reação em Cadeia to Amazon Prime (2020); You are not a Soldier to HBO MAX (2022) and Tromba Trem to Disney Plus (2023). Vitor also worked on the TV series: 171 - Negócios de Família to Universal Channel (2017); Clube da Anittinha Seasons 1, 2 and 3 on Gloob Channel (2017 to 2019) and Only for Love to Netflix (2023). In 2023 Vitor received 5 Cannes Lions (2x Gold, 1x Silver, 2x Bronze) with his works on advertising industry.
